The room was dark and silent, a condemned building with hardly any light save for the full moon shining through the crumbling roof. A lone figure in a long trench coat and heeled boots stepped over to the center with a no nonsense manner, a rolling suitcase with large custom wheels trailing behind her. She halted in the center, her masked eyes searching the shadows before pulling out an antique pocket watch with a silver moon on it’s face. The time showed five past midnight.
She looked up at the sound of a heavy thump across the room, though she saw nothing she snapped the watch shut speaking with a hint of annoyance, “Late. And with such a cliche trick, are you trying to impress me or frighten me? You’ll find neither is easy to do.”
“I could say the same about me, fleshy.” a deep voice spoke back in annoyance, the static undertone giving it something like a constant purr or a growl, “Though i have to admit i was surprised that someone like you would contact me, let alone be able to.”
The woman pocketed her watch, her other hand tapping the handle of her suitcase irritably, “Are you going to come out or shall i assume you have no interest in what i have to offer and attempt to call another Cyber better suited to the job?”
The second figure gave a small laugh, stepping out into the light with a confident stride. A tall robotic person with mostly green plating and a few spikes, his face a starking white with black stripes, bright red eyes glaring coldly at the human below him.
The robot crossed his arms as he leaned back against a solid pillar, “Now, now, i wouldn't come all this way just for laughs. I’m curious to what a human would want with a bounty hunter like me. You’d think that after the Omega-Screamers nearly blowing the city right of the face of this rock, among other incidents, most humans didn't like any bots sporting a decepticon mark.”
“I am not most humans, Mr. Lockdown. Same as you are not just any bot. I understand despite that marking, your no more loyal to the Decepticons than you are to the autobots.” She smiled in a cold sly manner, “Therefore, i don't believe that it matters who your clientele is so long as they can give you a satisfying payment.”
Lockdown gave a chuckle, lifting up his hook hand as if inspecting it for imperfections, “And what exactly does a human think she can offer ol’ Lockdown?”
The woman pulled the bag around and opened the front pocket pulling out a small key pad and a holo projector screen. A few swift strokes and a file was opened showing the schematics of what looked like some kind of blaster. Lockdown glanced at it with little interest, “Aw come on, that’s it? Lady you're wasting my time.”
The woman gave a low laugh, her hand moving swiftly across the keyboard once more showing two more images, “Hardly. What you see before you is the schematics for an experimental stasis lock projectile. I am also willing to offer a prototype weapon in your size that can transform into one of three different modes for different purposes and lastly but perhaps not least the remains of decepticon Starscream. As we have no need of him I’m certain that you have someone he will be of use to even in his current state.”
Lockdown looked them over once more, taking more interest in the prototype than the others, the basic mode was small and simple, almost harmless looking. Both it and the schematic seemed to be showing only a small part of the information, a security measure on this female’s part, pretty fragging smart for a fleshy. Part of him wondered if she had the rest of those files or the actual prototype with her in that suitcase, as nice as a stasis lock projectile might be, it would be so easy to just take the prototype and be on his way. Any bot could do it really, no special training or weapons needed, just pick it up and drive off leaving the human with nothing but her wires in a twist, or whatever they did when they got irritated.
He thought this over with a cold smile pointing to the image of the deceased decepticon, “Now how in the galaxy did you manage to get your cervos on that?”
“When the Omega clone robot nearly destroyed the city we had to act quickly to get him off the streets after that allspark fragment was somehow pulled from his body. Luckily many of the citizens were either evacuated or in underground shelters. Not that it would have done them any good if the autobot’s had failed.”
Lockdown frowned a little at this, finding bits of this information hard to process, particularly the bit about the allspark, how did she know what that was?
“And why weren’t you among those who evacuated?” He asked slowly.
“That is not important.” The woman tapped two keys causing the holo projector to shut off allowing her to slip the keyboard away, “What matters now is our little transaction. These items are to be your payment on delivery. What you do with them afterwards is not my concern.”
Lockdown glanced into her masked eyes warily, his mind already thinking over what he could do with devices like those. He leaned against the post once more, “You’ve got some pretty brass bearings for a human, I kinda like that. But what's to stop me from just taking whatever you got in that suitcase and leaving you high and dry?”
“Then we will have wasted our time.” she said flatly as she crossed her arms in front of her, a foot inching closer to the side of the case.
The two beings regarded each other with cold stares, each seemed to be trying to figure out their next move and wary of what the other might do.
Finally, the robotic lifeform scoffed, “Alright lady. I’ll consider your payment. What kind of job does a fleshy want me to do anyway?”
The woman smiled, kicking at a hidden mechanism in the suitcase. It whirred and snapped open, standing up on a platform to show off it’s contents, a thing that looked like a small crystal ball with glowing numbers counting down. The woman reached in, pulling off a glove and touching the spherical device. It went dark and slid easily into her hand, “Had you ‘left me high and dry’, as you put it, this little device would have gone off, releasing a powerful chemical mixture that would have destroyed the contents leaving you with nothing but a melted mess.”
She placed the sphere inside her coat and touched the remaining device inside, “This is an Ingwe unit, leftover from a project that went under years ago. The only working model of it’s kind. Consider it a down payment.”
Lockdown couldn’t help but smile as his optics devoured every detail, admiring the sleek silver spotted design. He slid his servo across it’s surface and felt a twinge in his hand as it charged up in almost a low purr.
“Now ain't this something.” He said with a smile, already seeing quite a few uses for this little device, “To think a human would offer me such a treasure. But now the real question comes into play. What's the job?”
   The woman smiled.
TFA universe, My own spin on a season 4.
