You arrived in the village Hope this morning. In response to a request concerning a magic item that is vital to the village. Its a small quest so you know its not going to pay much but the outcome as you’ve come to know is more dire than you would’ve first imagined. The village Hope is more of a small town located just a half a day’s trip from Allswell, one of the largest trading ports in the country. The unique thing about this village is that its primarily populated by serpentine Lamia, the ancestors of whom were once a fierce warrior tribe now turned passive. (More on that in a minute) On entering the village you saw that it was filled with banners and decorations and there was a thick smell of spices and herbs in the air as booths line the main road as if getting ready for a festival. But as you look closer at all the festivities you notice that nearly everyone seems on edge, gloomy even, like something is weighing heavy on their minds, this is especially true for any lamia you see
